Project Sikhsha Connect: Bridging the Education Gap with AADER Foundation
Project Sikhsha Connect is a remarkable initiative by AADER Foundation, an NGO committed to making education accessible to all children, especially those who are marginalized. This project aims to bring non-school-going children and school dropouts in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh into the mainstream of primary school education. By focusing on education and social development, the project seeks to empower children and equip them with the necessary skills for a brighter future.
At the heart of Project Sikhsha Connect is a team of dedicated teachers and volunteers who work tirelessly to help children overcome barriers to education. AADER Foundation’s teachers and volunteers not only focus on academic learning but also emphasize Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). SEL is an essential aspect of the project as it nurtures children’s emotional well-being, helps them develop better interpersonal skills, and fosters a sense of belonging in the school environment.
Through the combined efforts of the foundation's staff and volunteers, more than 400 children across five centers in Jaunpur district have benefited from the project. These children, who were once excluded from the formal education system due to various socio-economic factors, are now receiving education and gaining valuable life skills.
Additionally, a significant achievement of Project Sikhsha Connect is that over 80 students who participated in the initiative have been successfully admitted to government schools for further education. This is a critical step in ensuring these children have a sustained educational journey and the opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty.
The success of Project Sikhsha Connect highlights the importance of community-driven efforts in addressing the education gap. By combining quality teaching with emotional support, the project is not only empowering children with knowledge but also helping them build the confidence and resilience they need to thrive in life.
In the long run, AADER Foundation’s Project Sikhsha Connect hopes to continue expanding its reach, ensuring that more children in underserved areas of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar can access quality education and build a better future for themselves.
